I never heard about the conference accept for what I just read, I want to hear more about it. I resonate with what you about social justice talk becoming trendy. Even doing social justice has become trendy. I have been running around like crazy doing things since mission year has ended and I have lost sight of the reason I am even doing those things. In fact all this running around doing stuff has made me physically ill. I think that I got so busy I pushed Jesus out of the picture. Apparently I even made it look pretty good and pretty believable for awhile. I found out that pursuing social justice without Jesus is also crap. Talking about social justice and doing the right things are both used as excuses to stop pursuing God. I must have gotten confused somewhere along the way, I think for a minute I forgot that we can not earn God's love. Sure God wants us to do justly...but let's not forget the rest.
